Dextrose Saline Infusion Description:
A sterile intravenous infusion containing a balanced combination of sodium chloride and glucose. It is used to maintain fluid and electrolyte balance and to provide a source of carbohydrates for energy.
Composition (per 500 mL):
- Sodium Chloride: 4.5 g (0.9% w/v)
- Dextrose (Glucose) Anhydrous: 25 g (5% w/v)
- Water for Injection: q.s.
Indications:
Indicated for fluid replacement, prevention of dehydration, and energy supply in patients unable to take oral fluids.
Administration:
For intravenous infusion under medical supervision.
Storage:
Store below 30°C. Do not freeze.
